Job Summary:

BSS Sr. engineer’s responsibility is to assist the BSS engineering team for overall O&M and rollout project of Radio Access Network and ZTE/Huawei BTS.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Daily, Weekly and monthly report for all BSS parts in his Region
  • Design, planning, integration, and operations for 2G/3G/4G BSS (RF, BTS, BSC) of network
  • Responsible for capacity expansion, software updates and upgrades
  • Manage network operations and maintenance schedule
  • To design and configuring the RNC and RNC Interfaces (Iu, Iub, Iur)
  • To integrate nodeBs in the field, as needed
  • To solve UTRAN technical issues, working with radio planning as required
  • To create and execute the test cases for the radio access network
  • To monitor the network security plan
  • Perform analysis of network KPI’s, troubleshoot issues, and be involved hands-on with day-to-day performance management/optimization functions for the RAN Network.
  • Compile reports and perform in-depth technical analysis of data from multiple sources.
  • Open and track trouble tickets for site issues based on technical analysis.
  • Take corrective action to resolve site issues, which may include working with other departments and vendors.
  • Perform parameter audits, data-fill parameters, conduct pre/post analysis, and prepare performance reports.
  • Installation and commissioning of the Huawei and ZTE BTS.
  • Have the ability to work in a team and Prioritize workload

Job Requirement:

Education: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in BSS O&M, Planning and Implementation for bachelor degree holders and one-year experience for master degree holders.  
  • Skills Required:
  • Expertise with Huawei and ZTE BTS, BSC, RNC Software and hardware
  • Willing to travel.
  • Strong technical skills and familiar with planning, design and optimization activities on 4G/3G/2G network
  • Open minded, Good interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills in multi-culture organizations
  • Ability of reading, speaking and writing of Dari, Pashto and English Languages

Ability of work in Office and other computer programming related to job

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of a process driven environment
  • Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, ZTE, Huawei Routers and switches.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required and Strong written and verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service experience required relevant professional certifications or training desirable.
  • Availability to work overtime in times of emergency and specialized project deliveries.
  • Understand and manage the pressure of a 24x7 customer support environment.
  • Educational background in IT/MIS at BSc degree or related fields.
  • Good skills in installation and maintenance of network, and computer related equipment.
  • Good knowledge of Telecommunication Connectivity, Window Server and Linux.
