Job Summary:

Troubleshoot network in real time while maintaining high system availability and able to contribute ideas, share knowledge and help others to develop, in addition field engineer need to perform core network device initial installations, configurations under supervision and approval of line manager.

Monitor and maintain smooth operation and minor configurations in field network devices

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop quarterly, Semi-annual and Annual Plan in compliance with the organizational plan.
  • Oversight and technical assistant to head office and branch staff related to IT issues.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of computers peripherals, printer, networking, internet & e-mail, security, data backup and recovery.
  • Assist to install software, network, internet, email, printer and update antivirus for all head office and branches.
  • Follow up, maintenance support IT system at regional Office and Branches.
  • Train and guide user on using new software, PC maintenance and troubleshoot.
  • Installs and configures computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
  • Provides technical leadership on a variety of highly specialized project-related activities requiring expertise in specific technical areas for core information technology systems and services.
  • Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Participates as a member of the IT management team in planning, problem resolution, and reviewing department performance.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the Line manager.
  • Monitor and maintain IT Network Services that include E1 Connections smooth operation, and make sure network latency, network devices performance utilization report, field office and ISP customers regularly checked and report on time.
  • Troubleshoot WAN/LAN networks in real time while maintaining high system availability.
  • Make sure all security aspects, setting and configurations (like Firewall Rules, Mac Filtering, DoS settings, IPS settings, SSL settings, Encryption, Authentications, IP to user Mapping and etc.) are maintained under approved procedures.
  • troubleshoot intranet, Internet, E1, P2P, resolve ISP customer daily issues.
  • Maintain and mange Wireless Controllers, Access points, Firewalls, VPNs and Monitoring tools.
  • Ensure daily activities are compliant with IT Policies and Procedures.
  • Supervise junior IT staff and ensure quality services and support delivery.
  • Review logs of network devices record and report suspicious activities.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working in same positions as Telecom Fraud Management Engineer, IT engineer, or IT Officer,

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of a process driven environment
  • Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, ZTE, Huawei Routers and switches.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required and Strong written and verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service experience required relevant professional certifications or training desirable.
